Keep Your Sensor Clean—DIY

If you’ve ever come back from a shoot and noticed tiny specks across your images—especially at tighter apertures like f/11 or f/16—you’ve likely encountered the dreaded sensor dust. It’s a rite of passage for every digital photographer, but it doesn’t have to be a recurring problem.

I’ve tried a handful of cleaning solutions over the years, but the VSGO Full Frame Sensor Cleaning Kit has quickly become my go-to. It’s simple, affordable, and it actually works.

Why This Kit Wins

  • Designed specifically for full-frame sensors—perfect for cameras like my Sony A7III

  • Comes with 12 sealed swabs that won’t reintroduce dust

  • Includes 10ml of residue-free cleaning solution

  • Small enough to toss in your gear bag, powerful enough to rely on

How I Use It

I give my sensor a clean about once a month or anytime before a paid shoot. Here’s the routine:

  1. Blow off loose debris with a rocket blower.

  2. Add a couple drops of solution to the swab.

  3. Wipe once across the sensor, flip the swab, and wipe back.

  4. That’s it. No stress, no re-edits.

If you’ve been hesitating to clean your own sensor, this kit makes it nearly foolproof.
